MAVRIC: Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative

MAVRIC (Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative) is the state’s official electronic system for registering vital records, including death certificates. As of June 2, 2025, MAVRIC replaced the older VIP system for death registrations across Massachusetts.

This tab provides resources to support staff at High Pointe House and Home Hospice in using MAVRIC correctly:

Reporting Access: Links and instructions to submit a death registration via MAVRIC.

Guidelines & Literature: The step-by-step processes, documentation standards, roles (e.g., pronouncer, certifier), and legal requirements.

Training Materials: Videos, FAQs, “how to enroll” instructions, readiness checklists, and webinars.

Our intention is to ensure that death certifications are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with state law—and that staff know exactly what their role is in the process.
