The following outline identifies the required rehabilitation skills for November’s Skills Fair sessions. This applies to all Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Each competency should be demonstrated in accordance with current best practice, Tufts Medicine Care at Home policy, and discipline-specific standards of care.
Please arrive prepared with your clinical bag/bin for inspection and all necessary supplies or tools commonly used in the field. The bag and bin check will occur as you arrive and will be passed off to designated staff for review. Validation sessions are observation-based, with remediation scheduled only if a skill is not satisfactorily demonstrated.
Each rehabilitation clinician is expected to demonstrate these competencies as applicable to their discipline. These validations ensure alignment with infection control, patient safety, and best practice standards across all care settings.
Reminder: All staff must complete the 2025 Annual Compliance and Training Packet, test, and attestation by December 31, 2025.
