Antibiotics

Antibiotics for people with COPD:

Are not useful for viral infections, such as colds and flu

Work by killing bacteria that cause infection

Many different types are available

Finish the entire prescription, even if you feel better. Quitting antibiotics early can cause some of the bacteria to survive and cause another, more severe infection later.
