How to Use an Aerochamber

It is better to use an aerochamber (spacer) with the
metered-dose inhaler, because many people have
trouble coordinating breathing with the activation of
the metered-dose inhaler. The spacer reduces the
amount of medicine deposited in the upper airways
and allows the smaller particles of medicine to get
deeper into the smaller airways. For this reason,
the inhaler will be more effective with the use of the
spacer, especially with inhaled steroids.
