We are pleased to welcome Eric Hanley to Tufts Medicine Care at Home as our new Workplace Violence & Safety Coordinator.
Eric joins us with more than twenty-three years of public safety experience, including extensive work in crisis response, de-escalation, and threat assessment. His background as a police officer gives him a grounded, real-world understanding of how safety risks develop, how to recognize early warning signs, and how to support people effectively during high-stress encounters.
He brings multiple state and national certifications to this role, including CPR, Emergency Medical Responder, and Stop the Bleed instructor credentials. Eric is also a Certified Crisis Intervention Team member, holds certification in Comprehensive Threat Assessment, and is a Certified A.L.I.C.E. Instructor—training that strengthens his ability to prepare staff for real-world scenarios with calm, structured guidance.
In this newly created position, Eric will lead our organization’s approach to workplace violence prevention, field and site safety, and staff readiness. New hires will receive this education during onboarding, and Eric will be working closely with teams across Care at Home to reinforce skills, strengthen consistent practices, and help build a confident, safe environment for everyone.
We are excited to welcome Eric to the team and look forward to the expertise, clarity, and steady leadership he brings to this essential work!
